About Covenant Presbyterian Church
A church is not a building or merely an organization,
but a community of imperfect people seeking God.
Covenant Presbyterian Church in College Station, Texas had its first service on November 7, 1999. The service gave honor and praise to God for the merger of A&M Presbyterian Church and Trinity Presbyterian Church.
A&M Presbyterian Church began in 1923 on the Texas A&M University campus. Trinity Presbyterian Church had their first worship service on Easter Sunday, 1996 and started to serve the south College Station area. The congregations merged in 1999 and began to build a church on Rock Prairie highway. The first joint service in the new building was Easter Sunday, 2001. The new campus gave the new congregation room to grow and start new visions. After the co-ministers, Tom Huser and Tom Estes, retired- the church had been led by Sam Steele, David Elton, Drew Tomberlin, and co-pastors- Jonathan and Caressa Murray. Covenant Presbyterian Church is currently seeking a new pastor.
We believe at Covenant Presbyterian Church that:
God is One in Three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God's Son, fully God and fully human.
Jesus lived a perfect, just, and loving earthly life teaching about the Kingdom of God.
Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead.
Jesus lives today and is the only One who can offer true and lasting wholeness for this life and the next.
We receive the gift of salvation by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
The Bible is God's word, inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is entirely trustworthy and authoritative for our daily lives with God and with one another.
